April 11, 2013 – Funmi Lawal Is Dead: Nigerian Bone Cancer Victims Died In Lagos This Morning
Do you remember the story of a lawyer identified as Funmi Lawal who battled a rare form of cancer in August of last year.
Several Nigerian entertainers like Actress Tonto Dikeh, Rukky Sanda and music producer Don Jazzy donated massively to Funmi Lawal after she was diagnosed with Malignant Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Before her diagnosis, she has battled the disease for close to 7 years.
Sadly, Funmi succumbed to the killer disease on Thursday morning at the Lagos State University College of Medicine.
She was taken off the respirator after it became apparent she’ll lose her battle to cancer because it has spread to her lungs.
